"Anti-civilization": Zeman's stance on Muslim world

Gazprom's Czech subsidiary Vemex doubles revenues

Interview - Last year was a record one for Vemex, a Czech and Slovak subsidiary of Russia's state gas giant Gazprom.

"Last year, we increased sales year-on-year from 700 million cubic meters to 1.2 billion," said Vemex board member Vladimir Yermakov in an interview with Czech Insider. Yemakov said that the company's revenues more than doubled from CZK 5 billion in 2011 to CZK 11 billion in 2012... (read more here).

 

Westinghouse signs memorandum with indebted Modrany Power company

Revealed - Westinghouse, an American bidder for the multi-billion euro contract to expand the Temelin nuclear power station, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Modrany Power, a Czech engineering company.

Czech Insider has learned that there is an insolvency proceeding against Modrany Power, initiated by Komercni banka (KB) in order to recover CZK 150 million (EUR 6 million)... (read more here).
