Hinkley Point: Britain's uncomfortable lesson for CEZ

Business - CEZ is prepared to invest around EUR 10 billion in the expansion of the Temelin nuclear plant, but only if it gets a so-called "contract for difference" from the state. In the energy industry, a contract for difference guarantees a long-term price for the electric power generated by a specific source.

Westinghouse CEO: Czech nuclear industry is "at mercy of Mother Russia"

Enemy of the state: CEZ faces more heat in Bulgaria

Business - Bulgarian authorities are adapting a more aggressive approach against Czech utility CEZ and other foreign energy companies that are present in the Balkan country, such as the Czech Republic's Energo-Pro and Austria's EVN.
