Prague - To earn voters´ trust as a politician is not an easy task. Mayor of Prague Pavel Bém of the Civic Democrats (ODS) has been confidently leading charts of popularity for years but only up until now.
Bohuslav Sobotka from the Social Democratic Party (ČSSD is the most trustworthy politician according to the latest survey conducted by Public Opinion Research Centre of the Institute of Sociology of the Academy of Sciences (CVVM).
Thirty eight percent of Czechs trust Sobotka, while Bém enjoys trust of thirty seven percent of respondents.
Thirty five percent of Czechs expressed their belief in Zdeněk Škromach, ČSSD vice-chairman and Vlasta Parkanová, vice-chariman of Christian Democrats (KDU-ČSL).
Jiří Paroubek, ČSSD leader and Ondřej Liška, the Greens´ vice-chairman, received thirty four percent of the respondents´ respect.
The survey confirmed the general declining trend of voters´ trust in party representatives. At present, only one third of Czechs regard Czech lawmakers as trustworthy, which is at the lowest in years.
