Czech film director Václav Marhoul became inspired by Czechoslovak soldiers bravely fighting near the Libyan port of Tobruk beasiged by Germans and Italians. The following photographs masterly chronicle the everyday lives of the real soldiers living and fighting in the African desert. Just like Václav Marhoul tried to show in his film.
