Temelin tender and Rosatom's international supply chain
Revealed - In its bid for the expansion of the Czech Temelin nuclear power plant, Russian consortium MIR.1200 promised to extensively contract Czech firms as suppliers.
MIR.1200's official list of roughly 250 suppliers, submitted to Temelin's operator CEZ in summer, reveals a fairly complicated hierarchy, topped by three firms: Skoda JS, Atomstrojexport and Gidropress... (read more here).

EC audit report: Czech ministries "not reliable"
Revealed - The Czech ministries of industry and finance are to be blamed for a CZK 9.5 billion (EUR 380 million) fine given to the Czech Republic by the European Commission (EC) for EU funds abuse in relation to some transport infrastructure contracts, according to an EC audit report produced on August 9.

Story of "unsellable" Tu-154 military jets
Behind the scenes - Eight L-159 military planes are for sale, announced the Defense Ministry last week.
The eight jets have been stored in a hangar of Czech aircraft manufacturer Aero Vodochody for years, unused.
Potential buyers should be cautious though.
