Czech billionaire Komarek plans giant investment into Georgia oil

Business - Czech billionaire Karel Komarek's firms produce oil in several countries, including the Czech Republic itself.

However, his oil firm MND's main focus is on the Russian market.

From this perspective, Komarek's latest move - to spend two billion crowns to explore oil deposits near Georgia's Tbilisi - may be seen as rather risky... (read more here)

Schwarzenberg: Revival of scrapped US anti-missile shield "not likely"

Revealed - US Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney criticized what he called "the sudden abandonment of friends in Poland and the Czech Republic" by President Obama,  in a reference to Obama's scrapping of the US anti-missile shield project in 2009.

According to The Washington Post, if Romney wins the November election, he could even try to revive the anti-missile defense project... (read more here)
