Czech coach that modernized Russian football

Sport - Ten years ago, Russian football was terra incognita for Western experts. One of the first foreign football managers that came to Russia was Czech coach Vlastimil Petrzela. In 2003 he was contracted by Sant Petersburg's Zenit, a wealthy club sponsored by the country's gas giant Gazprom. Petrzela stayed in the club until 2006.
