Czech architects to build a basilica in Gabon, Central Africa
The interior of the basilica. The architects from Helika company have signed the contract for the basilica in the presidential palace of Gabon. Their next commission in Gabon should be an airport.
The basilica will be built in the capital city Libreville, inhabited by 180 thousands of people.
The building is to seat 4.5 thousand people, said Helika's Vladimír Kružík.
The design is supposed to be finished in six months. The construction process is expected to take two years. Libreville´s religious monument will resemble a ship.

A Czech architectural company Helika has signed a contract with the government of Gabon to project and build the largest religious monument of the country to be situated in the capital.
