Prague - The Prague Airport Authority plans to sack 240 employees due to the forthcoming privatization process.
This means that as much as one tenth of the total personnel will lose their job.
The authority infomed about this in its press release.
Attracting buyers
"A detailed analysis showed that a part of the jobs overlap and that some jobs are not necessary for further development of the company," press release explains.

One third of the 240 annuled positions are unoccupied. The authority intends to use CZK one million on a program that would help people to find a job.
"It is evident that this decision will increase the value of our company from the point of view of potential investors," Director General of the Prague Airport Authority Miroslav Dvořák said.
60 investors interested
Dvořák added that every market-driven company that wants to succeed in the competition is undergoing similar changes periodically, and not only at a time preparation works the ownership change.
As many as 60 investors so far have already expressed their interest in acquiring the airport.
According to the Finance Ministry, the privatization of the airport could earn CZK 100 billion (EUR 4 billion) for the state.
