Prague - One housing and two office projects in Prague, a shopping centre in Most and a hotel in Benešov have been named the best Czech real estate projects of the year in Best of Realty competition organized annually by the Czech Association for Real Estate Market (ARTN).

The award for the best residential project has gone to L'Ocelot in Prague 9, praised for its original design and high-quality execution. The best office project is the third stage of the Avenir Business Park in Prague 5.

The Central mall in Most has been named the best Czech shopping centre of the year, and Hotel Karlov in Benešov has been selected as the most original hotel project of the year.

The jury has granted a special recognition to the office building City Tower in Prague 4, saying the project's developer picked a notoriously difficult area and showed persistence in pushing the vision.

This year's Best of Realty competition featured 37 projects completed after 1 January 2007 competing in four basic categories, including administrative centres, residential projects, retail centres and hotels.

The contenders were evaluated mainly according to their choice of location, the urban-planning and architectural solution, the quality of the design's execution, and especially the project's success on the real estate market.
