Kretinsky's EPH becomes Central European gas player
Business - Daniel Kretinsky (37), a partial owner of the EPH energy and industry holding, signed last week the most important deal of his career so far.

Behind the scenes - After qualifying for the second round of the Czech Republic's first-ever popular presidential election, Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg told Czech Insider that he was looking for his successor to lead the Czech diplomatic service.

Dalik case on hold as key witness in US not yet questioned
Revealed - The corruption case of lobbyist Marek Dalik is on hold as the prosecution is waiting for the US authorities to interrogate a key witness.
Dalik, a long-time friend of former Czech Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek, was surprisingly arrested and charged with corruption last October over a 2009 purchase of Pandur armored personnel carriers by the Czech military... (read more here).
