Schwarzenberg: Both sides of Syria conflict are guilty

Foreign - "It is a certain form of civil war, and as usual we cannot blame only one side. There are evidently attacks from both sides and we must understand this," said Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg, adding he would oppose a foreign intervention in Syria. Another Prague energy summit with links to Russia

Business - On May 23-25, Prague hosted the Energy Gas Storage 2012 summit. Czech Insider wrote about the event's links to Russian Gazprom here. Czech economy lags behind football-driven Poland

Business - The Czech economy grew less than 2 percent in 2011 and is expected to shrink this year. Neighboring Poland posted a 4 percent growth last year and the economic expansion is expected to stay above 3 percent in 2012. One reason is enough to explain the difference: the UEFA European Football Championship. In 2012, Polish state investment company GDDKiA will open more than 450 kilometers of new highways... (Read more here)
