Controversial ex-spymaster Randak to run for president
Revealed - Former head of the Czech foreign intelligence service Karel Randak seriously considers running for Czech president in the January 2013 direct election.
So far, the former spymaster has avoided entering politics. Instead, he became a close collaborator to the Anticorruption Endowment founded by Czech billionaire Karel Janecek (read more here).

Fall of Police President Lessy
Behind the scenes - The relations between Interior Minister Jan Kubice and Police President Petr Lessy, who was removed last week, can be best described as mutual scorn.
Minister Kubice needed one year to get rid of the police president, who was nominated by junior government Public Affairs before the party moved to the opposition.
Lessy's fall started when he accused Minister Kubice of blackmailing him (read more here).

Who will be new owner of Mediaservis?
Business - Mediaservis, the Czech Republic's largest competitor of the public postal company Czech Post, will change ownership to avoid insolvency.
The identity of the new owner - allegedly "a strong investor" - is unknown, but Czech Insider's sources indicate that it may be Slovakia's Post Bank.
This was neither confirmed nor denied by the two firms, but there are several indications that point to this possibility (read more here).
