Carmen Carmona looks out of the window before learning that her mother's eviction by the Municipal Housing and Land Company (EMVS) was postponed in Madrid June 14, 2013. Pilar Amador, Carmen's mother, currently lives with one of her sons and three of her grandchildren in a social rent flat in Madrid, where most of her children and grandchildren were raised in since she moved there in 1998. The family, where most of the adults don't hold a steady job, was sent an eviction notice at the beginning of the month. The eviction was finally postponed until September after negotiations between Amador's lawyer and the help of anti-eviction activists.
