"Don't believe what the media are saying, the protests in Burma will not die," she said, her voice breaking. The little son of Igor Blaževič from the People in Need foundation has his doubts

Hundred or so activists demonstrated in front of the Chinese embassy in Prague's quiet diplomatic quarter to send signal to Beijing that the whole world expects action, not just words, on Burma. Amnesty International, People in Need and Burma Center Prague joined forces to stage the protest. The message sent towards the hiding Chinese diplomats was clear: you and only you can make the Burmese generals understand that the repeat of the 1988 bloodbath is absolutely unacceptable. The attempt to hand over a petition failed however, nobody answered the doorbell.
