Landscape encrusted in frozen conditions offers a romantic view. But that is all that one can say about extreme sub-zero temperatures that hit Europe, including the Czech Republic, taking a high tool. Roads were gridlocked, many European airports had to cut services and trains were canceled or delayed. In the Czech Republic nine people, mostly homeless, were reported to have frozen to death.
