Robert Rosenberg also faced human trafficking charge

Prague - Porn acting is universally acknowledged to be more profitable than regular acting. Famous Czech porn-actor Robert Rosenberg, who was arrested on a number of charges last fall, human trafficking among them, can now get back to his well paying job.

Rosenberg was found guilty Tuesday for possessing cocaine by Prague 5 District Court and was sentenced to one year probation.

Originally, Rosenberg faced a total of four charges - human trafficking, illegal drug possession and production, spreading a sexually transmitted disease and procuring prostitution.

Rosenberg´s wife Žaneta and manager Martin Patzelt were sentenced to 4-month probation with a trial period of one year.

Smaller than small

Czech King of Porn was first arrested in October 2007 on drug charges, with all the other accusations coming only later. From the very beginning Rosenberg stood firmly against the illegal drug possession and production charge.

"It [the amount of cocaine found on him] was only for my personal need. It was a very small amount. I cannot really say whether it was "an amount smaller than small" [as stipulated by Czech law] but it was really very small," said the porn actor after he was released on bail of CZK 600,000 last March.

Rosenberg was cleared from the accusation of spreading a sexually transmitted disease. He was said to have had a Chlamydia bacteria while shooting porn films. Allegedly, he was aware of being infected but did not use condoms to prevent spreading the bacteria.

Paradoxically, it was Rosenberg himself who came last August with the information syphilis was a common disease among porn actors. Some of the actors, said Rosenberg at that time, had false text certificates.

Offer of a role

The Rosenbergs and their manager Martin Patzel had been held in custody since October 10, 2007.

Their house maid allegedly robbed their flat. The Rosenbergs were said to have forced her to play in one of their films in order to pay them back. She disagreed and filed a charge against the couple and the manager. The court today ruled her testimony was untrustworthy.

Patzelt was released after a month spent in custody, while Žaneta Rosenbergová was released in January this year. They all faced up to 10 years in prison, were they found guilty in all the charges.
